Does it struggle to roll up tightly or straight.
Rv power awning does not roll up straight.
The grab strap should be centered equal distance from each end of the roller tube.
You can see the attached picture but the power awning will reel out and in with no apparent problem until i retract the awning all the way up to and against the rv.
Not sure i fully understand but i toss out a suggestion.

Remove the wire and get it replaced.

Mine does that as well the top of the forward arm doesn t quite seat so i get in the truck bed and smack it into position.
