We find in most instances our customers prefer the balustrade to be 1000mm to 1100mm high on internal landings and around internal voids.

Many customers find that although a 900mm balustrading guarding an internal landing or void meets regulations it doesn t feel or seem safe.

Internally the height of the balustrade from the point that someone is stood on to the top of the balustrade should be a minimum of 0 9m.

This means horizontal balustrades are not allowed to be used at this height and vertical balustrades should have no footholds.
